The video needed to connect Protective Life’s promise with the pace, emotion, and cultural energy of a world-class tennis event.

Protective Life’s partnership with the Miami Open created an opportunity to tell a story beyond sponsorship. The assignment was to create a commercial that felt connected to the tournament’s momentum, from the rhythm of a volley to the anticipation of a dramatic return. The work had to capture the scale of the event while keeping Protective’s message present and grounded. As the creative partner, the goal was to shape a piece that felt polished, energetic, and emotionally aligned with both the brand and the audience.

The Approach

The video blended match action, crowd energy, music, celebrity moments, and event atmosphere to show the Miami Open as more than a tournament. Editing, pacing, and sound carried the story forward.

Final Thoughts

The strongest brand presence came from knowing when to lead and when to let the event speak.

What made the project work was its sense of timing. Protective Life entered the Miami Open conversation with a message that felt natural to the moment, not forced around it. The film did not need to overstate the partnership. It needed to show the energy surrounding it and place the brand within that rhythm.
